The visit to Musee du Louvre made me feel rushed even though it could not be helped due to the tight schedule.

We had to look around only the one hundredth of this huge museum at a run and were accepted to have a shutter chance only for one minute at each important point.

When I once visited this museum 30 years ago attending the executive, the appreciation time must have been enough and comfortable to me. But to my regret, I have no memory now. The following picture is the evidence I met Mr Giichi Fujimoto there at that time.

The picture of 30 years ago.
This picture, too,
with the executive (middle).
The especially impressive exhibits in Louvre are as follows.

Samothrace's Nike was the most important display to me here for which my aquaintance told she had trembled with emotion.
I don't think I trembled with emotion as much as her, but I was fascinated for a while.
This is my first harvest at the Louvre.

Samothrace's Nike (Winged Victory)
320 cm in height

Hellenistic sculpture of Nike (the Greek goddess of victory), that was created in about the 2nd century BC.
Since 1884, it has been prominently displayed at the Louvre and is one of the most celebrated sculptures in the world.
H.W. Janson described it as "the greatest masterpiece of Hellenistic Sculpture", and it is one of a small number of major Hellenistic statues surviving in the original, rather than Roman copies. (English Wikipedia)

My another harvest is this Hermes statue below. It was in the Greek Corner. This God is Mercurius in Italian mythology or Mercury in Engish reading.
The top of the Kerykeion wand held by his left hand is also the school badge of my university alma mater. Even I myself noticed it at once.
