Pont Van Gogh
5. Arles (Sunday, Nov. 25)
Arles is the town where Van Gogh spent his later years.
It was getting dark when we stopped by at the Bridge of Gogh commonly known as "The Langlois Bridge at Arles" for a commemorative photo.
This present bridge seems to have built again for sightseeing imitated to the Gogh's picture from this newness. It had no taste of the picture to me.
At the general center just stopped by,
the trace of the hospital,
where Gogh had a medical treatment.
The courtyard is what was restored at the time.

We visited the Roman Ruins and Colosseum of World Heritage at night in the dark.
I managed to grasp the outline with the spotlight, but could not survey the whole. How I wished it were in the daytime.

Nevertheless, the both giant ruins built in 4th century were awesome shining in the light.
This view is unsatisfactory to me all right, but will help read through the long novel "The Story of Romans" written by Nanami Shiono after returning home.

I wonder why the attendant did not refer to the Bizet's opera "L'Arlesienne".
