Then, entered St. Maria Church going up the 99 steps, and also looked around

Postojna Cave |
|
We arrived at Postojna Cave, so-called the largest in Europe, driving from
Lake Bled for a little more than one hour. It was astonishing with total
length of 20 km.
Going down two km on a truck, earthshaking views immediately on the way.
The mysterious world of Indiana Jones or Hamunaptra Mummy is running to
us and away like an arrow.
Getting on the truck, we enjoyed the great underground nature throughout
the history of 100 thousand years and were overwhelmed with emotion.
Regretfully there are only several pictures taken due to the restriction,
but this scene was the natural creations burned into my eyes the most.
By the way, what came out to my mind naturally here was Sagrada Familia
in Barcelona still on the way of construction since more than 120 years
ago. Though I am not sure whether its former architect Antoni Gaudi visited
this cave or not, I suppose he had something to do with this kind of cave
for his idea of this building, even if he didn't.

Postojna Cave (Postojnska jama) |
This is a 24,340 m long karst cave system near Postojna, southwestern Slovenia.
It is the second-longest cave system in the country (following the Migrovec
system) as well as one of its top tourism sites. The caves were created
by the Pivka River. (English Wikipedia) |

After this Postojna Cave, we drove southward along the seashore for about 70 km. We passed the simple country border from Slovenia to Croatia on the way.
Then after a while we entered Opatia, an exclusive resort town, where we
were going to stay at the hotel with more than 100-year history. Arrived
here at 17:00 pm.
