Our couple, Emiko and I, traveled to my hometown Miwasaki late November 2016. It's in Shingu City, southeast of Wakayama Prefecture, which is near the south end of Kii Peninsula and the west of the prefectural border with Mie. A calm rural town facing the Kumano Nada Sea of Pacific Osean.
During the time on the day of 23, we visited my family tomb, talked forever with my younger brother's couple living there, and stayed at their house.

Thursday, November 24, the third day of the trip.
We are going back to our home in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, after my purpose of the visit to my family tomb, thanks to my brother's favor. We have to stay near Shirahama Airport tonight due to the air plane schedule tomorrow.

We left Shingu Station for Shin-Osaka on the limited express Kuroshio 26 at 14:18.
Kumano Nada Sea unfolds outside the window and calmly watches us off. The arrival at Kii Shirahama Station where we get off is scheduled for 16:09. I decide to reflect on the journey so far, making use of the nearly two hours in train.

How many years have passed since I returned home last time? My website says my previous return was in May 2009, seven years ago. At that time, our couple used a tour called "Free plan, staying at Hotel Urashima 6 consecutive nights".
A long time since then. The eldest son who can't be qualified to face his parents. That's myself, Shigeru. I couldn't thank my brother and his wife enough to take my place.

My brother Minoru is busy with community work even after his teaching career ended. He served as the head of Miwasaki Ward until March last year, and is still relied upon at every opportunity.

Well, Furusato, hometown, is quite far from Urayasu City. Though I usually go there by sea or land, this time after checking the convenience of my brother and his wife and unraveling the travel magazine, I decided to use an air route for the first time.
