Part 3
Friday, July 6
The forecast suggests that the rain will come and go, but the sky is not as good as it could be today.
We left "Aomori Winery Hotel" in Ohwani Town, Aomori Prefecture, at 8:00. The nearby parking lot was busy with a large group of junior high school students.
The Tsugaru Iwaki Skyline, descending from the hotel located at the eighth station of Mount Iwaki (1,625m), is a series of more than 60 sharp curves. On the climb yesterday, our bus almost collided with an oncoming private car, and the driver had a hard time. As soon as the exchange was over, we all the passengers gave him a generous round of applause.
This morning I prayed for no oncoming traffic, and luckily the prayer was granted. However, the continuous sharp curve of the descent covered in mist made me get sweaty on hands.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when the Skyline ended. The bus heads to Tsurunomai Bridge in Aomori Prefecture.
1.Tsurunomai Bridge

It is located in Tsuruta Town, Kita-Tsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture. According to the town's website,

Lake Tsugaru Fujimi beautifully reflects the majestic mountain shadow of Mount Iwaki on the surface of the lake.
Tsurunomai Bridge (crane dance bridge) reflects another beautiful figure on the elegant surface of the lake full of legends.
With a total length of 300 meters, this bridge is the longest wooden bridge in Japan among the triple drum bridges, and its warm and gentle arch has become a new attraction of Tsuruta-cho, the village of the international exchange with cranes.

It was built in 2004.
"In order to maintain harmony with the surrounding natural environment and landscape, we use 700 Aomori hiba trees more than 150 years old for the piers, and make full use of the building technology since ancient Japan."

Tsugaru Railway
Tsugaru Railway in Aomori Prefecture is a railway line connecting Tsugaru Goshogawara Station in Goshogawara City, to Tsugaru Nakatomari Station in Nakatomari Town, Kita-Tsugaru District.
In winter, the Daruma stove train is operated. In the summer, we are now enjoying a wind-bell train.
It is 20.7 km long, 12 stations, and single track. We got off at Kaneki Station, the sixth from Goshogawara Station.

"Shayoukan", near Kaneki Station (in honor of Osamu Dazai)
This house with a half-hipped roof was built in Meiji 40 (1907) by Tsushima Genwemon (father of Osamu Dazai), a large landowner of Meiji period.
It is a luxurious mansion using hiba (a sort of cypress) called the three major forests in Japan up to the rice warehouse, with a total of about 680 tsubo, including 11 rooms downstairs of 278 tsubo, 8 rooms on the second floor of 116 tsubo, and a garden with spring water arrangement.

My wife entered. I walked around there.

Arrive at "Hotel Shidodaira" in Hanamaki City. 5 o'clock.
Finished dinner at 7 o'clock and I went to bed. Emiko seemed to have enjoyed "shovel playing" for a while in the hall. (A man wearing a clownish mask plays a shovel resembling shamisen to the music on the speaker)

Today's bus mileage: 350 km
