Part 3 Manyo Road |
|
Yesterday, our couple took a free bus to go from near Yahiko Shrine to
Mount Yahiko Ropeway Station. During 5 minutes each way in the bus I looked
outside without any impression, but Emiko did not overlook because of her
certain preparation.
The gentle slope of 600 meters from the bus stop beside the Yahiko Shrine
is also known as "Manyo Road". It was an emotional plant-watching
path. |

There were 22 observation spots on the both sides of the road.
A total of more than 60 species of plants and trees native to Mount Yahiko
are collected, each accompanied by a waka poem from the old poem collection
"Manyo-shu".
I was lost in admiration, walking along the Manyo Road while forgetting
about the time and rain. I just managed to capture interesting views in
photo as follows.

A bus was luckily waiting at the foot of the mountain.
After returning to the original bus stop, it was finally time to visit
the highlight of my trip, Yahiko Shrine.
It was raining a little, but I enjoyed the slow viewing without worrying
about the time. It was shown in the previous chapter with photos. |
